ELEVATE gives you, the teacher, the opportunity to take your already stellar teaching skills to the next level.
What if you knew you had someone to brainstorm with, observe student reactions and reflect with you on a lesson? Would you take more risks? Implement a new program? Push students to try something new? This voluntary teacher-driven program is open to TK-12 teachers in any subject area who are looking to explore best practices while meeting goals of their choosing. A year-long partnership working with a single coach in learning cycles of planning, implementing and reflecting will allow you to take the risks that are sometimes daunting when working on your own. The purpose is to lessen your load by having a coach available to help you research, gather resources, and to support you. This program, an adaptation of a coaching model used throughout Southern California, was brought forth by the coaches in an attempt to assist teachers trying new and innovative practices.
If accepted to the ELEVATE program, I will work with my coach to develop a plan that works for us and may include the following:

If you're not interested, it's not a problem. The coaches are still available to help you in the same way that they have in the past. You can check out the coaches' profiles to find the one who can best help you answer questions, research, plan or assist on special projects.
